Our nonprofit newsroom is reimagining local journalism in Boulder. We are committed to providing Boulder locals with in-depth local reporting and essential information to strengthen our community. We are 100 percent independent and dedicated to building a permanent, nonprofit business model that is sustainable for the long term.
Our journalism is free to consume for all. No paywalls. It’s vital to our public service mission that it stays that way, but we won’t be able to do this without community support.
If you already find our mission meaningful, and if you are able to contribute, please consider becoming a member today. Anyone who donates at any amount will be considered a BRL Member. Every dollar you contribute goes toward producing community-first journalism!
The Boulder Reporting Lab is a nonprofit corporation, Fed ID #87-1232586. Once our 501(c)3 tax exempt status is approved, your donation will be tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law, retroactive to the date of our incorporation (May 26, 2021).
The Google News Initiative’s Local Experiments Project, which seeks to support innovative new models for journalism, provided our initial funding and is providing technical and product expertise. This support will last up to two years. GNI has zero involvement or influence in any of our editorial decisions. Neither will any of our funders.
