Woog is a former Town of Erie trustee and Colorado state representative. He graduated from Arizona State University and owns a property management company. He said he is running for office because “House District 19 deserves a state government that protects the rights and freedoms of its constituency,” according to his campaign website.
He is running uncontested in the Republican primary and is likely to run against Jennifer Parenti in the November election.
