- Became a home for beloved local writers like John Lehndorff (food) and Silvia Pettem (history).
- Remained fiercely independent, with over 90% of every dollar going directly to reporting.
You made this possible. Every headline, every newsletter, every deeply reported story exists because people like you believe in the power of local journalism.
The truth is, tens of thousands of people read BRL, but only a small number have donated. If more of you give today, we’ll meet our goal and grow in 2026 with more reporters, deeper coverage and a stronger foundation for a newsroom this community can continue to shape and sustain.
We’re already one of the few remaining local newsrooms in Boulder. That’s something worth protecting, and building on.
And the need could not be more urgent. Another election year is approaching. The future of Sundance is on the horizon. Federal funding shifts are already affecting housing, nonprofits and essential public services.
