More than two dozen Boulder-area leaders issued a joint statement today condemning Sunday’s terror attack on Pearl Street as “a vile assault on our Jewish community” and calling for unity, empathy and action, saying “it is an attack on us all.”

“We are united in condemning acts of antisemitism, hate and violence,” the statement reads, “and are committed to bridging differences through collaboration, empathy and recognition of our shared humanity.”

“Our hearts are also with those bearing psychological wounds, who may find themselves fearful today — we hope you are surrounded by love to lighten the burden.”

The statement was signed by elected officials, nonprofit leaders and community advocates. They are:
